Last session, the party managed to get to the City of Merodraeth via the Water Elemental Plane. The party drifted in the water channels a bit before finding a place where they can recover and disguise themselves. While walking within the city, the party noticed the many decoration remembering the recently deceased Lord Doctor.

The party snuck through the crowd in disguise. Whenever they are stopped by the Aurum Guards, Ignis dispelled the magic detection item they used to randomly scan the crowd. The party managed to make their way to the lower levels of the city where there are less people and guards.

When they are setting up camp in one of the many empty houses, a visitor that goes by Alys visited them, asked them strange questions pretending to welcome them to the neighborhood before leaving. Feeling suspicious, Ignis and Kaine tailed the individual to a secret base in the sewers where they found out that Alys was a part of a Resistance.

When the party later regrouped with Kallista, she clarified that Alys and about 200 others formed a Resistance against the Empire. However, given that anyone willing to work is given free room and board, it is likely that they are useless in their effort against the empire. So, instead, the party planned for the upcoming heist.
