Strange Goings-On

Last session, the party explored the town nearby. It was discovered that the town has been mostly deserted. The party found an emiciated pair of undead(?) hiding and would not let the party come any nearer. They left after realising it was not able to perform basic communication.

The party pushed forward to discover soldiers pushing more of those undead into a burning pit. One of the creature rushed towards Bree which led the party to engage in combat. The party swiftly took down its leader, causing the other soldier to return to normal.

As they were leaving the town, the party found a shrine pointing to a dome of mist at the end of a region. The shrine says "Head to the dome of Mist and destroy the Darkness that lie within. Bring back the light to cleanse our sin."
