Abandoned Guardians

Last session, the party prepared for their counter-counter-counter heist. After deliberating for the longest time, the party agreed that they need to take down Ami Maloa. Using Victoria's Gate, they can force an unwinnable battle upon him. However, when they tried, the spell failed. Something is blocking the portal from opening.

Instead, they fall on a backup plan. The party, this time joined by Hayleigh, teleported into Makx and stormed the Necros Citadel. After defeating, the guards outside, the party came upon Ami Maloa's room. They rushed in, hoping to meet Ami Maloa inside but instead, they found Lady Skull and Lord Night.

A battle ensued between the party and the guardians and in the end, the party was able to defeat the pair with a clever use of smoke. Now, they are in the middle of Ami Maloa's room with no Ami Maloa to be seen.
