Walled Cities

Culture • DnD 5e

Walled Cities are the most fortified settlements in Home. They are often closed to outsiders instead preferring to meet outsiders outside their walls.

Culture

People within the Walled Cities are surrounded with paranoia of the threat from outside and within the walls. They are indoctrinated to believe only the upper echelon of the Walled Cities can help them through these “trying times”.

Walled Cities Traits

Someone growing in walled cities will gain the following traits

Languages. Home and Ki. If you are a noble caste, you learn High Ki as well. If you are a part of the slave caste, you learn Lower Ki as well.
Skill Proficiency. Home and Ki. If you are a noble caste, you learn High Ki as well. If you are a part of the slave caste, you learn Lower Ki as well.
Paranoia. Your paranoia-filled childhood has made you more alert all the time. You only need four hours of sleep to get a full night’s rest. However, you still need 8 hours to complete a long rest. The additional time may be used to perform non-strenuous activities like reading, keeping watch or light crafting.
